What is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period?

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, also known as the Annual Election Period, or AEP, is the time when you are able to make changes to your Medicare plan. Annual Enrollment is every year from October 15 - December 7.

During the Annual Enrollment Period, you can make changes to your Medicare plan. Here are some examples of what you can change:
Sometimes there's reasons for you wanting to change your Medicare plan during the Annual Enrollment Period, here are some of the most common we come across:
- Enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan from Original Medicare
- Change from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another
- Return to Original Medicare
- Enroll in a Part D prescription drug plan
- Change your Part D prescription drug plan to another
- Change your Medicare Supplement Plan
- Move from a Medicare Supplement Plan and to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan
